BCCI Announced IPL 2022-23 Auction Date in mid-December

India Premier League is set to take off with the matches for the season this 2022-23. the auction is nearing where the matches are going to start and the team squad will be ready soon.

BCCI is in a plan to host the auction this December for IPL 2023. The tentative date for the auction is December 16, 2022 however the official confirmation for the same is pending yet.

The auction is going to be a mini-auction where the venue is yet to be finalized for the IPL 2022-23. The purchase will most probably will be starting with Rs 5 crores. However, this number seems to be growing if franchises are willing to release the player if traded.

There are also chances that the Chennai Super Kings will be either trading or releasing the all-rounder payer Ravindra Jadeja this season. There are heavy chances that Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans will be trading the player Jadeja for the season. However, Shubham Gill is on the list of trade or release.

There is news that another team is also interested in Ravindra Jadeja like the Delhi Capitals. However, the team Chennai Super Kings might not trade or release the player as he is one of the star all-rounder players for the team.

Gujarat Titans also seem to have an interest in the player Rahul Tewatia and R Sai Kishore. The trade window for IPL season 2023 will open one week before the auction and the window will again re-open after that.

Saurav Ganguly speaks about the normal IPL format and he writes, “The next season of men’s IPL will also go back to the home and away format with all 10 teams playing their home matches at their designated venues.”

He also speaks about the women’s IPL stating, “The BCCI is currently working on the much-awaited Women’s IPL. We are expecting to start the first season early next year. More details on this will follow in due course.”
