Shimron Hetmyer Dropped Out Of World Cup For Missing Flight To Australia!
Shimron Hetmyer one of the star players from the cricket team has dropped out of the game in World Cup as he misses the flight to Australia.
The player is a part of the West Indies national cricket team however, also a popular star player in IPL. Shamarh Brooks will be replacing him in the game of the World Cup.
The news is confirmed by the Cricket West Indies (CWI) about players being not part of the game this season. The player misses his re-scheduled flight to Australia and so the decision was taken.
The flight was rescheduled to October 01, 2022, at his own request and he misses that flight to consider his family reasons.
The director of cricket for Cricket West Indies (CWI) Jimmy Adams confirms the news the same by introducing Shamrah Brooks to the team squad. He shares, This afternoon they informed the CWI Board of Directors that the Selection Panel has unanimously decided to replace Shimron Hetmyer with Shamarh Brooks in the World Cup T20 squad.
Rajasthan Royals brings the player Shimron Hetmyer to the team in 2008 where he is worth INR 8.5 crores. The player’s flight was changed from Saturday to Monday owing to his family issues however, authorities were clear that they will be left with no choice but to replace the player if there are any further delays.
The cricket board didn’t want to compromise on the team’s preparation for such a big cricket event in World. Brooks will be joining the squad for World Cup directly this season in Melbourne.
The players have been facing each other in the game for the tournament of Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Both the player have faced each other previously in the game where Brooks smashes an unbeaten having scored 109 in Qualifier 2 helping out the Jamaica Tallwahs to enter the finals of the tournament.
