Team India Will Make Perth the Base Before the World Cup

Team India does not want to leave any stone unturned in the preparations for the T20 World Cup. The team will practice in Perth before this tournament starting on October 16 in Australia. Team India will make Perth it’s base. For this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has given its consent.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has said that he will reach there two or two and a half weeks before the World Cup. They will train and practice in Parth. Not only this, they will also play some practice matches there.

Team coach Rahul Dravid had demanded from BCCI to arrange some more practice matches there. A board official has said that we are in talks with some teams, who can play practice matches with the team before the warm-up matches. Team India will leave after playing the last T20 with South Africa

After Australia, the Indian team has to play a series of three T20 matches at home along with South Africa. The last match of the series is to be played on 4 October in Indore. After that, the Indian team will leave for Australia on 5 October. The team had earlier planned to go to Australia on 9 October.

The biggest reason for making Perth a base is bouncy of the pitch there. In such a situation, Team India would like to be bounce and speed-friendly by practicing in Perth, so that the batsmen can easily face the fast bowlers in the World Cup.
