The competition has its name out of appreciation for the famous Australian tennis player Bar Laver. The Laver Cup was created in association with Tennis Australia, Roger Federer’s administration bunch, TEAM8, and previous Davis Cup adversary and finance manager Jorge Paulo Lemann.
A ritzy setup of competitors will go head to head in the 2022 version. For the celebrated European group, Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Casper Ruud, and Stefanos Tsitsipas will contend. On the opposite finish of the range, the World XI will be addressed by Taylor Fritz, Félix Drill Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, and Jack Sock.
Bjorn Borg is the World XI’s chief, while John McEnroe is the non-playing commander of Group Europe. The four contests have up until this point all been won by Group Europe.
Laver Cup 2022 Format
Over the three days, a total of 12 matches are played. Every victory in a match earns a point on Day 1, two points on Day 2, and three points on Day 3.
At least one or two singles matches feature six players, while four players are expected to compete in the doubles competition. Each match is the best of three sets, with the third set being decided by a 10-point tie-break if it is knotted (6-6).

The O2 Arena in London will host the 2022 Laver Cup. The arena can hold up to 20,000 fans for the largest concerts and sporting events around the globe.
Laver Cup 2022 Prize Money Breakdown

Each member of the winning team receives $250,000 in prize money in addition to guaranteed participation fees based on the players’ ATP rankings, but the competition itself does not contribute to the participants’ ATP Tour point totals for that year.
